Proton Center Draws Hundreds to Ribbon Cutting

Terry Douglass, founder of the Provision Center for Proton Therapy, said Wednesday the organization would continue to fight for insurance coverage for all Tennessee residents.

His comment, made at an official ribbon cutting and grand opening, was in reference to a controversial bill Provision tried to get passed, requiring insurance companies to cover the proton therapy cancer treatment.

Douglass emphasized Provision’s 501c3 not-for-profit status, calling the facility “a gift to the community.”
